Delete your account
There are two things you might mean, and they are different. Pick the one that fits.
1. You want to delete your own account
You can do this inside the app, and it takes effect immediately.
Open HazriBook → tap the bell icon on the top right → scroll to Your account → Delete my account.
Your sign-in is destroyed and your name and phone number are removed from our records. You will be signed out and will not be able to sign in again.
What is kept, and why. Attendance records and payslips are not deleted. They are the record of what workers were owed and what they were paid, and under UAE labour law they are the workers' own evidence in a wage dispute. Anything you approved or locked will still show that it was approved — but by "a deleted account", not by name.
If you are the only owner of a company, the app will refuse. Deleting the last owner would leave a company whose payroll nobody could ever unlock. Either make somebody else an owner first, or close the company instead — see below.
2. You want to close the whole company
Only the owner can do this. In the app: bell icon → Your account → Close this company.
- 30 days' grace. Nothing is removed and you can cancel at any point in them. Billing stops when the closure completes.
- Then everyone is signed out and staff details are anonymised.
- Wage and attendance records are retained for 24 months and then permanently deleted. This is deliberate and we will not shorten it on request: those records belong to the workers as much as to you, and they never asked for the company to close.
3. You are a worker, and your employer added you
Your attendance and pay records are your employer's business records — we hold them on their behalf, and we cannot delete them for you any more than a bank could delete your employer's ledger. But we can remove your personal details: your photograph, phone number, and document numbers.
Email privacy@hazribook.com from any address, with:
- your full name;
- your employer's company name;
- your worker code, if you know it (it is on your PIN card).
We reply within 30 days. We will tell your employer that a request was made, because they are the ones who hold the record and they need to know it changed.
4. You want a copy of your data instead
Email privacy@hazribook.com with the same details. We send a machine-readable export of everything held about you.
